Cycle against Stigma

On 23rd of December, over 200 attendees of youth from various backgrounds and around 4 different youth-led organizations gathered to enjoy a three-hour free cycling ride along with HIV/AIDS awareness, in celebration of World AIDS Day (1st of December) and as part of the national campaign launched every year.

The event was held by the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV and AIDS in Egypt and the national AIDS program under the auspices of the Ministry of Health and Population, in cooperation with Cyclers Egypt and Town Runners.

The theme of the event was (Cycle Against Stigma), and it aimed at engaging young people and youth-led civil society organizations and raising their awareness focusing on fighting stigma and discrimination related to HIV and AIDS in Egypt and spreading knowledge about HIV transmission and prevention methods.
